AMD released its earnings and it was not pretty. Fourth quarter sales was at $1.33 billion and margins shranked to 36%. With the special charges for the ATI purchase, AMD posted a loss of $574 million. For the next quarter, they are forcasting revenues of $1.6 to $1.7 billion, less than the previous $1.84 billion.
It seems that Intel has finally taken the fight to AMD. Both companies are suffering the effects of the price war. For now, it seems the momentum is back with Intel.
