When Pfizer announced it was stopping development of its colesterol treatment torcetrapib due to an unexpected number of deaths. This drug was supposed to replace its blockbuster drug Lipitor, which loses patent protection around 2011. Needless to say, billions of dollar was wiped off on Pfizer that day.

So what did I hear?????

The CEO is retiring with a $180 million dollar pension. This is comforting news to the long suffering shareholders and to former employees of Pfizer who has lost their jobs due to management incompetence.

Aren't executives supposed to paid for doing their jobs and not for screwing up??!!!

It seems there is no end to the greed of these CEOs. I noticed the Home Depot guy got a
payout package of $210 million for doing a lousy job. Mr. Evil, instead of trying to rule the world, perhaps you should become a CEO of a major corporation.

It seems that these guys have the last laugh. Get a nice severance package from a public company and then work for a private equity firm for even more money.

No kidding people invested in real estate instead of stocks. The crooks were running these
corporations.
