Google revealed that it invested $3.9 million to get a minority stake in a biotech start-up, 23andMe. The co-founder of the biotech start up is the wife of Sergey Brin, the co founder of Google. For critics who complain of nepotism, the decision to invest in the biotech was made by an independent committee. Let's face it, relationships lead to new opportunities. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this.
